Can you send my box as a personal gift so I don't have to pay customs fees/taxes overseas?
It's a bummer, we know :(
As LYM is a business, and our printing/shipping partner is also a company, the boxes we ship to students are labeled "commercial". It would be illegal to label them as gifts, so sending our packages as personal gifts in order to avoid customs fees is a no-can-do. We get that it means you could get stuck paying fees or taxes, but the good news is that you don't have to accept the package if the import tax is too high for what you deem is the value of the contents of the box. And hey, if you choose not to pay the fees to pick up the box, it'll get sent back to us at no cost to you. And if you do choose to reject the package...no worries -- we'll provide digital copies of all of the materials you need for the Accelerator experience.
Without exception, LYM doesn't pay for international customs fees due to students' local agencies. Any fees or import taxes that customs agencies require in order to release packages into the care of students are the responsibility of the customer.
